According to a source from the community “The victim who own one of the Hotels in the community, was shot because after his arrest, some hoodlums engaged the police in a violent manner and the led to the shooting of Akatakpo.
A senior security source attached to the Delta State Police Command, who confirmed the arrest said, “Some boys were arrested for alleged of kidnapping, so in the process of interrogation, his name was mentioned.
“This prompted his arrest, and while he was arrested, some youths tries to fight the Police, and this makes the Police to shot him Akatakpo, in the leg.
He is responding to treatment in an undisclosed hospital
